Designer White Kitchen Cabinets

While home design trends may come and go, white never fails to give a kitchen design a timeless look.   Get a glimpse into a recent kitchen remodel that features white custom kitchen cabinets and a select stained walnut island as a centerpiece.

Below, see the before image of the dark stained cabinets and the after images showcasing how the white kitchen cabinets create an inviting atmosphere for this North Carolina lake home.

Home Remodel Objective

Update the kitchen design to be more functional by pairing convenience and technology.  We were able to accommodate the homeowner’s request by incorporating top of the line Wolf appliances into a home design layout that integrated function, beauty, and balance.

Designer Quote:

“The best projects are those that have clearly defined objectives, simple design and quality products. The end results of this remodel proves this remarkably.”

Homeowners Questions & Answers:

Is this your first remodel? NO

We have done several including the kitchen in 2010 when we bought our current home. We only did floors and counter tops but unfortunately kept the builder grade cabinets.

Did you research other cabinet companies? NO

We knew all along that we would go with Walker Woodworking cabinets.

What were your “Must Haves” for the kitchen remodel?

  • Large gas cook top
  • Sub Zero  refrigerator
  • New floor
  • Upgrade builder grade cabinets
  • New lighting
  • Built in Coffee maker

Is this your forever home?  I certainly hope so!

How has the new kitchen design helped you?

It is so fantastic, we don’t know where to begin to tell you all the ways it has helped and improved our living.

“Every morning when we walk into the kitchen we are inspired and just think WOW to ourselves, Is this really ours!”

Happy Homeowners

What was the biggest hurdle you had to overcome during the design / install of your project?

The timeline was the biggest hurdle and took about 5 weeks longer than anticipated due to some structural work to reinforce the floors.  We subcontracted our own electrical & plumbing and hired a GC to coordinate the rest.

What is the best feature or biggest asset to your newly remodeled area?

All of the appliances are fantastic, and getting them incorporated into the kitchen design was great!   Perhaps, the most amazing thing is how much larger the kitchen seems even though we did not increase the floor space. The contrast between the white cabinets and the black walnut island is striking!

“Walker’s craftsmanship is impeccable including the walnut drawer boxes.  We must also state that the craftsmanship of their install crew was equally most impressive and very professional.”                                   Happy Homeowners

If you had to rate Walker Woodworking / Greenbrook Design for an overall satisfaction grade, what would your score be?

10 = highest – 1 lowest.

We would rate Walker Woodworking a 10 PLUS!!
